No pun intended, our office
has multiple (6) shades of very soothing greens. But, as well, we made every attempt to build it out environmentally
green as possible. For example:
- The paints and
staines are zero VOC. (Volatile organic chemicals)
- New fabrics were
hot water extracted.
- The wood flooring
was bought from overestimated jobs and is 1/2 the normal thickness of typical wood flooring.
- Our vacuum system is "DRY". Dental vacuum
systems typically use 100 gallons of water per hour JUST TO BE READY! Our system uses zero gallons.
- Our electrical
comes in to the building at over 400 volts. This saves on natural resources that carry the current. We then step
it down to 277 volts, 110-120 volts when necessary for equipment and even further to 12 volts D.C. Halogen lighting when possible
to further conserve electricity use. We try to keep half (1/2) of our lights off during daylight hours and enclosed
rooms (storage, etc.) have auto on/off motion sensors.
- We use negative
ion generators when possible to negate air borne environmental toxins.
